Putin Sec Council Meeting On Friday After 'Attack' In Bryansk Region

RUSSIA

Kremlin spox Dmitri Peskov states that, President Vladimir Putin will chair a meeting of the Security Council on Friday following a 'terrorist attack' in the Bryansk region. Russian state media has run reports of an 'infiltration of Ukrainian saboteurs' into the region, while Peskov states that measures are being taken to destroy Ukrainian 'terrorists'.

  • Nataliya Vasilyeva at The Daily Telegraph: "A flurry of reports from two border villages in the Bryansk region, ranging from reports of dozens of people taken hostage - to denials by local officials. Ukraine's command in the north on Feb 23 warned of a Russian false flag operation in the same area. Local officials also refuted reports of an attack on a school bus, saying all local schools are closed for remote learning."
  • Wires reporting comments from advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, states that 'Reports of Bryansk attack are deliberate provocation by Russia.'
