  • Ukraine’s Zelensky held a 1.5hr phone call with Biden yesterday to discuss developments in US-Russia talks.
    • The key issue of the talks was the security situation around Ukraine and the prospects for activating a peaceful settlement.
    • Zelensky also stressed that Nord Stream 2 damages its energy security and deprives it of an important factor in containing Russian aggression
  • Poland’s PGNiG says additional gas supplies from Russia to the EU would help balance supply and demand in the region – saying Russia has capacity to boost production to offset the current EU crisis. Says it is vital that energy flows without barriers
