Putin To Sign Laws Incorporating Annexed Regions Into Russia Today

The Kremlin has announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin will likely sign the laws incorporating the four annexed Ukrainian territories into the Russian Federation today.

  • The Kremlin also continues to express willingness to resolve conflict through negotiation. Ukraine and the West very unlikely to take comments in good faith.
  • Kremlin: "From the very beginning, Russia has wanted to solve the conflict through negotiations."
  • The prospect of formal talks between Kyiv and Moscow remains remote. Today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree formalising remarks made last Friday that Ukrainian would never negotiate with Russia while Putin remains in power.
  • Zelensky: "He (Putin) does not know what dignity and honesty are. Therefore, we are ready for a dialogue with Russia, but with another president of Russia."
