-Q4 Current Account Deficit Stg23.707bn from Stg22.988bn Q3
-Q4 Current Account Deficit rise to 4.4% of GDP from revised 4.3% Q3

The UK current account deficit expanded to its widest level since Q3
2016 in both sterling terms and as a percentage of GDP. However, a large
downward revision to the Q3 shortfall exaggerated the deterioration of
the deficit in Q4. The Q3 current account gap was revised downward from
the originally-reported Stg25.522, or 5.0% of GDP, due to changes in the

Stg5.239 billion in Q4 from Stg6.776 billion in the previous period.
