Qatari, Russian LNG Tankers Continue Red Sea Voyages

Qatari and Russian LNG cargoes continue to ship LNG via the Suez Canal, while route from the US to Asia east around Cape of Good Hope is busier than usual according to ICIS analyst Alex Froley.

  • Three laden Qatari vessels en route to Europe and one Russian cargo headed for Asia are currently travelling in the Red Sea area between the Suez Canal and the bab Al-Mandab strait, or having just exited, ship tracking data showed.
  • The last non-Russian or Qatari LNG vessels were seen in the region one or two weeks ago.
