matters, U.S. impeachment goings on and Turkey-Syria developments all
contributed to a generally heavy session for risk assets during Asia-Pac trade.
- The energy and materials sectors provided the most weight for the Nikkei 225
on a sectoral basis, while the communication sector was the only sector to trade
higher at the lunch break.
- The ASX 200 outperformed, with the IT sector leading the way.
- Chinese & Hong Kong markets were closed owing to their respective national
holidays.
- U.S. equity index futures struggled owing to the aforementioned headwinds for
risk assets.
- Nikkei 225 -0.3%, ASX 200 +0.4%.
- S&P futures -15, DJIA futures -119, NASDAQ 100 futures -41.
