Morning Consult has published a survey showing that, “Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has overtaken former Vice President Mike Pence for third place among potential GOP primary voters, with 8% backing.”
- Morning Consult: “Former President Donald Trump remains the clear front-runner, with 56% support, followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, whose 17% backing matches an all-time low since Morning Consult began tracking the race in early December.”
- The survey suggests that Ramaswamy’s full throated backing of former President Donald Trump may have boosted his support amongst conservative Republicans. The chart below shows that Ramaswamy has a relatively high “buzz” rate amongst Republican voters with 38% percent of respondents reporting they had heard something good about him compared to 9% who reported negative.
