Rand Gets Some Reprieve Ahead Of Vote On Section 89 Report

Rand got some reprieve from Bloomberg headlines citing a South African minister, who noted that ANC lawmakers will vote against the Section 89 panel report today. Spot USD/ZAR has eased off intraday highs (ZAR17.7549) to last trade +720 pips at ZAR17.612. Local-currency bond yields have extended pullbacks from best levels of the session and last sit 5.4-7.3bp higher across the curve.
