/RATINGS: Fitch: New Zealand’s Surplus Target Implies More Fiscal Consolidation

Comments from ratings agency Fitch note that New Zealand's surplus target implies more fiscal consolidation. Fitch expects the incoming New Zealand government to remain committed to such consolidation, although they warn that they believe that achieving the target of a fiscal surplus come June ’27 could be “challenging.”
