/RATINGS/GGBS: Citi Believe IG Upgrade At Fitch/Index Inclusion Is Partly In The Price Of GGBs

Ahead of Friday’s sovereign rating update from Fitch, Citi note that “Greece has seen strong ratings momentum and should benefit further if Moody’s expectation of debt/GDP declining by 26ppt by 2030 is realised. With S&P already rating Greece at BBB- (IG), Fitch could very well become the second out of the three main agencies to rate Greece IG with a one-notch upgrade, making GGBs eligible for IG indices including Bloomberg Barclays Treasury index. However, this upside seems partly in the price of GGBs.”
