Thanks to the client who pointed out to me that Bloomberg was premature to say that the Alecta case is closed.

The prosecutor has provided an update which states that "The preliminary investigation into suspected corruption offenses following notification by the Financial Supervisory Authority in connection with a pension manager's investments is still ongoing.

  • A small part of the investigation has been closed, but otherwise the preliminary investigation continues with just over ten criminal suspicions of giving and taking bribes and gross disloyalty against the principal. At this stage of the investigation, no person is suspected of crime, says senior prosecutor Johan Lindmark, who is the head of the preliminary investigation."
