Recent Ranges Persist

NZD/USD prints at $0.6160/65, the pair was little changed on Tuesday.

  • Recent ranges persist in yesterday's dealing, a rally in the European session was capped ahead at the $0.62 handle.
  • Rising US Yields, after stronger than expected US data, saw the NZD/USD retreat in the NY session. The 20-Day EMA provided support ($0.6161).
  • Bulls look to break yesterdays high ($0.6201) this opens the 200-Day EMA ($0.6230). Bears target the low from 23 June ($0.6117).
  • AUD/NZD was ~0.2% firmer yesterday, as of yet the pair has been unable to sustain breaks below the 200-Day EMA ($1.0849).
  • Cross asset wise; 2 Year US Treasury Yields rose ~8bps and S&P500 rose 1.1%. BBDXY fell 0.2% and WTI futures were ~2.3% lower.
  • The domestic data calendar is empty today.
