RENEWABLES: Boom Power Advances 400MW UK PV Farm

Boom Power has advanced its 400MW East Yorkshire Solar Farm to approval, with the conclusion of the six-month examination period, it said.

  • The Examination Authority (ExA) now has three months to submit a report with recommendations to the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.
  • If approved, it will connect to the National Grid at the Drax substation in North Yorkshire.
  • Additionally, the firm also announced the submission of their second NSIP for its Fenwick Solar Farm. The project is expected to have around 237MW of capacity, according to power and technology.
