RENEWABLES: Orlen Advances 1.2GW Offshore Wind Build

Polish Orlen has inched closer to the commissioning of its 1.2GW Baltic Offshore wind farm for 2026 in Poland, with the firm completing its first of four onshore connections, it said.

  • The onshore substation is over 40% complete, with full completion expected by 4Q 2025.
  • The unit will be powered by 15MW turbines and is expected to reduce emissions by around 2.8 mn/t per year.
