CABLE: Reported support between $1.3031/27 managed to contain the base through
Wednesday's trade, the rate touching a low of $1.3029 with area challenged three
more times through NY before it closed at $1.3044. Early Asia eased rate to
$1.3035 before it recovered to $1.3045 in early Tokyo. Cable was again pressed
back to $1.3035 before it picked up better demand which has lifted it to $1.3053
in early Europe. Resistance seen between $1.3060/67 ahead of $1.3095/1.3100.
Support remains around $1.3030 a break to expose $1.3000/1.2987. Focus this
morning on EZ flash PMI data, with UK Retail Sales to provide the main domestic
interest. Median forecast -0.3%mm, 4.5%yy. Some hopes for a further pick-up but
MNI notes that there are mostly negative surprises in March data. Brexit moved
to the back burner with the Article 50 extension but headlines could still
emerge to influence. Easter weekend approaching and could expect some position
adjustments to influence.
