US TSYS: /RISK/N.KOREA: Treasuries saw late mild short-covering ahead of the
close, and a mild bit of risk-off mood. Meanwhile traders eyed the N.Korea
scene; Kyodo said that Japan earlier received radio signals suggesting N.Korea
was preparing for a missile launch test, as noted earlier; but Kyodo said the
N.Korea satellite image did not show a missile or mobile launcher, and Japan did
not specify which type of possible missile.
- Meanwhile Washington Post said Hawaii will start resurrecting on this Friday a
statewide nuclear attack siren as "nuclear tensions between N.Korea and the US
grow." They will test the siren the first day of every month, which would appear
to fall on Dec. 1st, said the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
