OIL: Risk-off flows stifled crude in Asia-Pacific trade, after similar flows
hampered oil on Friday. WTI and Brent are both ~$0.60 lower at writing.
- In terms of crude-specific news flow, last week's Baker Hughes rig count data
revealed 9 fewer active U.S. oil rigs in the latest week.
- There was also news that the Houston Ship Channel will not re-open until the
U.S. coast guard can verify that a cloud of benzene has passed and that the oily
residue from the recent disaster in the area poses no threat to vessels & crews.
