Rolls Set To Dominate Ahead OF Long Weekend

AUSSIE BONDS

Futures recovered from overnight lows as U.S. Tsys rallied after their brief round of post-U.S. CPI cheapening, with YM +0.4 and XM +1.1 at the close of the overnight session, building on Thursday's impressive rally.

  • Roll volume should continue to dominate on Friday, given the relatively limited docket, with local matters headlined by the release of the weekly AOFM issuance schedule. A reminder that the space will be closed on Monday owing to the observance of the Queen's Birthday holiday in Australia.
  • In terms of the roll, calculations point to a little over 60% of the YM roll & around 67% of the XM roll being complete.
