Romania’s energy regulatory authority (ANRE) has authorised the build of the first phase of the 450MW Vifor wind farm in southeastern Romania, according to Renews.Biz.

  • Works are anticipated to take 18 months, with the plant online before the end of 2025.
  • The project is being developed by firms Rezolv Energy and Low Carbon.
  • Rezolv has about 2GW of renewable projects in its pipeline, which include: the 1.04GW Dama Solar in western Romania, the 600MW Dunarea East & West Wind Farms also in Romania and a 229MW solar project in north-eastern Bulgaria.
