Rosneft Gas Production Rises in H1

NATURAL GAS

Rosneft increased its natural gas production by 31.8% to 43.7 bcm in H1, according to the company via TASS.

  • The increase in production was driven by scaling up ongoing projects and launching the new Yamal-Nenets autonomous district gas project.
  • This made Rosneft the largest independent gas producer in Russia, having boosted production by almost a third, the company said.
  • However, gas production did fall by 8.7% on the quarter to 21 bcm in Q2, due to the restriction of oil production in Russia, according to TASS
