RTRS-Tehran To Disconnect More Monitoring Equip; IAEA DG To Give Presser

IRAN

Reuters reporting that, according to diplomats, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi has told the IAEA board that Iran has let them know by letter that Tehran is planning to disconnect 20 more IAEA surveillance cameras and other monitoring equipment.

  • There is the prospect that following last night's vote (see 1005BST bullet) there could be more retaliatory measures that further sour relations between Iran and the IAEA.
  • Grossi is scheduled to deliver a presser on last night's vote of the IAEA Board of Governors to censure Iran over its alleged non-compliance with IAEA monitoring standards.
  • Presser due to begin at 0715ET/1215BST/1315CET.
  • Livestream of presser:https://www.iaea.org/press/press-conferences
