Ruling Party Lawmakers Request IMF Funds For Covid Response

ARGENTINA

(BBG) A group of lawmakers from the ruling coalition Frente de Todos asked Economy Minister Martin Guzman to allocate new reserves to be issued by the International Monetary Fund for Covid-19 spending, according to a document in the Senate's webpage.

  • Bill says estimated USD4.3b of reserve assets, called special drawing rights, or SDRs, should be destined to "solve major issues" related to the pandemic, such as poverty reduction and job creation
