RUSSIA: Indian Exports of Restricted Technology to Russia Surges

- Indian exports of restricted items such as microchips, circuits and machine tools surpassed $60m in both April and May, about double from earlier months this year, and leaped to $95m in July, Bloomberg report citing officials familiar with the matter. India is exceeded only by China.
- Kommersant run a piece in which they note that leading indicators are pointing to a continued cooling of economic growth in August-September. Latest weekly monitoring based on estimates from the Ministry of Economy and the dynamics of output in basic industries shows that Russia's GDP growth over 12 months slowed even more in August, they say.
- Finance Minister Anton Siluanov and other officials will take part in a State Duma budget and tax committee meeting. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will speak at the International Export Forum “Made in Russia.” Trade balance data for August is on the docket at 14:00BST/16:00 local time.
