RUSSIA: Manufacturing PMI Rises to 51.3 in November

  • The Russian government on Friday again extended the embargo on food imports imposed in 2014, Kommersant report, this time until the end of 2026. It also decided on measures to stabilise rapidly rising food prices, including imposing export controls and increasing food imports from "friendly" countries.
  • Russian oil and gas exports through the eastern sector of the Northern Sea Route rose 14.5% to 4.47 million tonnes in the 2024 navigation season, Kommersant write. The growth was driven mainly by oil exports to China, which jumped 33% to 2 million tonnes.
  • Russia’s manufacturing PMI rose to 51.3 in November from 50.6 in October, according to S&P. The series has extended the rebound after dipping into contractive territory in September and is now at its highest since August.
