RUSSIA: Novatek Reconsidering Plans to Build Large-Scale LNG Plants

  • Russian gas producer Novatek is reconsidering plans to build large-scale LNG plants in Murmansk and Sabetta in light of sanctions, Kommersant report. Work on Murmansk LNG and Obsky LNG has been suspended for now, the newspaper said citing sources.
  • There is little else in the way of notable domestic news flow today, with no data releases scheduled either. Industrial production figures for August take focus later in the week (Est: +1.8% Y/Y; Prior: +3.3%).
