Russia Restarts Oil Deliveries By Rail To Kozmino Port

Russian oil companies have started delivering oil to the port of Kozmino in the Far East by rail for the first time since April 2016 according to Vedomosti.

  • Companies have begun oil deliveries by rail to the port as the capacity of the ESPO pipeline was not able to cope with increased demand in this direction.
  • Supplies via railways reached 80kbpd in January according to sources.
  • Oil shipments at Kozmino port were expected at 42mn tonnes last year, Transneft CEO Nikolay Tokarev said last year.
