RUSSIA: Russian PM Travels to Tehran to Meet Iranian President

  • Russia condemned Israel for killing Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, The Moscow Times report, urging an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon as Moscow's foreign minister suggested an effort was underway to drag Washington into a regional war. Israel would "bear full responsibility" for the "tragic" consequences the killing would have for the region, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
  • Bloomberg report that a Russian LNG carrier sanctioned by the US is currently heading to potential buyers in North Asia after sailing thousands of miles through the Arctic Ocean. It adds that the plant will be closely watched to see if it will continue sailing to an import terminal in the region, or try to cloak its identity in a bid to protect end-users from US retaliatory measures.
