Russia's Novak Set to Hold Oil Product Meeting Jan 19

Russian Deputy Minister Alexander Novak plans to hold a meeting on January 19 with refiners on the current state of the domestic oil products market according to Interfax.

  • Russia’s government is weighing a ban on gasoline exports following an incident at Lukoil’s Norsi refinery, Interfax reported Monday.
  • Russia exported almost 204k tons of gasoline in the first 10 days of January, or around 17% of total production according to Bloomberg.
  • Russia has recently utilized oil product export bans to stabilize its domestic supply.
