Russian daily crude oil production averaged 1.306mn tons, or 9.57mbpd, last month, people familiar with data from the Energy Ministry said, marking the highest reduction in output since early 2023.
- December output numbers were 60kbpd lower month on month and around 375kbpd below the February baseline, the largest reduction since the country pledged to reduce output.
- In addition to Moscow’s pledge to reduce output by 500kbpd, Russia will curb its daily exports of crude by 300,000 barrels, and refined products by 200,000 barrels during 1Q 2024.
