Russian Four Week Average Crude Exports Highest Since June

Crude exports from Russia increased in the week to 27 Jan to recovery most of the loss from the previous week according to Bloomberg vessel tracking data.

  • Russian export volumes increased by 480kbpd on the week with higher output from Baltic and Pacific ports but a slight drop in output from the Artic.
  • The four week average seaborne crude exports rose by 237kbpd to the highest since June to 3.34mbpd.
  • As much as 1.19mbpd of shipments have departed with no clear final destination although most is assumed to be headed for Asia. The four week average of shipments to Asia, including the vessels with unknown destination, has increase to a new high of 3.03mbpd.
