Russian Natural Gas Output Fell 13.3% YoY in Jan-May

Russian natural gas production in the first five months of this year stood at 276.5bcm, down by 13.3% year on year according to calculations based on industry data.

  • Natural gas output fell by 12.7% on the year on the Jan-Apr period.
  • Russia’s production of natural gas started to fall last May, reflecting lower deliveries to the EU from Gazprom.
