Russia’s Diesel Exports Down 23% on Year in Jan: Ministry

Russia cut its diesel exports by 23% on the year in January, according to the Ministry of Energy, cited by Bloomberg.

  • The information was released on a Telegram post and did not disclose the absolute values.
  • Gasoline exports in January are down 37% compared with the same month in 2022, it said.
  • Diesel flows to the domestic market were up 490k mt in the first 25 days of January, up 17% on the year to 3.9m mt.
  • Gasoline flows to the domestic market are up 7% on the year, an increase of 150k mt.
  • Domestic reserves of diesel are up 7% on the year to 3.9m mt, while reserves of gasoline are up 16% to 1.9m mt.
