Sabine Pass Feedgas Drops to Lowest Since August

Feedgas intake into Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana dropped to its lowest level since Aug. 21, according to Bloomberg.

  • Feedgas currently stands at 3.53 bcf/d, down 0.8 bcf/d compared to levels Sep. 20. Levels are down 18% from the recent five-day average of 4.31.
  • Sabine Pass has six trains totalling 30m mtpa and is the largest US LNG liquefaction terminal.
  • Annual maintenance at US LNG facilities his Autumn could be busier than usual, Goldman Sachs said in a note Sep. 15. The bank noted that there were five trains across Sabine Pass, Corpus Christi and Cameron LNG totalling around 5 bcf/d that had yet to undergo full maintenance in more than three years.
  • Berkshire Hathaway Energy’s Cove Point LNG terminal began seasonal fall maintenance on 14 September, which will last for around four weeks, a spokesperson said.
