SAGBs Softer at the Open; 10Y Drifts Out of Its Bear Channel

  • SAGBs kick off weaker this morning with yields +1.7-3.3bp higher in 10-30Y tenors, despite marginally firmer risk sentiment out of APAC.
  • This follows on from yesterday’s broadly weaker session where duration came under selling pressure with 10-30Y yields rising +5.5-11.2bp with the 10Y most offered.
  • Price action reversed at the 12 Nov lows and has tentatively broken out of the descending channel pattern with 9.90 & 10 the next resistance levels to the topside.
