EURO SUMMARY: *Sep6 Euro-dollar open $1.1914, range $1.1903-$1.1925
*Euro opened in Asia at $1.1914 toward the upper side of yesterday's $1.1868 to
$1.1941 range, where dovish Fed-speak, weaker-than-expected US durable goods and
much softer UST yields, all combined to place the greenback on the defensive.
*The weaker US dollar story continued in early Asia, the pair rising from around
$1.1910 to $1.1925
*Slightly firmer US rate yields then encouraged modest US dollar demand, Euro
dropped from around $1.1920 to $1.1903 before meeting solid bids.
*In the lead up to the European open euro edged higher to $1.1915 and last
trades at $1.1912
*Hourly support is located at $1.1895, while yesterday's top of $1.1941 provides
resistance.
*German Factory Orders (0600GMT) provides the initial event risk for the session
ahead, July's data is expected at 0.2% m/m, down from 1.0% prior.
