Shell Does Not Expect Windfall Taxes for Q3

Shell does not expect to pay the UK windfall tax in Q3 because it is investing in North Sea projects such as Jackdaw.

  • The levy, which was introduced in May, meant Shell wrote down around $360 million in the third quarter to reflect future tax payments.
  • Shell expects to start paying the windfall tax from early next year.
