Shell To Restart 250kbpd Zydeco Pipeline On 26 May

Shell's 250kbpd Zydeco crude pipeline is expected to restart on 26 May, after it was shut for one month, following an oil spill, the US Coast Guard told Argusmedia.

  • The pipeline went offline on 25 April after an oil spill was detected. The pipeline was initially scheduled to be shut for 1-2 weeks according to a shipper notice seen by Bloomberg.
  • The pipeline is is a key conduit for sweet crude shipped from the Houston area to Louisiana.
