Smaller Third Phase Budget Passed

TAIWAN

Taiwan has passed a special budget of TWD 229.83bn for phase 3 of the government's forward-looking infrastructure development program. The third phase of the program, which runs from 2021-2022, is around TWD 169.65m smaller than the originally budgeted TWD230.01bn.

  • In terms of issuance the NTA has already released plans for Q1 2020, which shows a TWD 50m increase in the 20-year auction (to TWD 350m), while bill auctions see a TWD 50m increase in all maturities.
