Soft AU retail sales data is outweighing a...>

AUSSIE
AUSSIE: Soft AU retail sales data is outweighing a wider than expected trade
surplus, owing to the RBA's focus on consumer behaviour alongside the downturn
in housing prices, although the fact that the data covers the holiday period,
and comes on the back of the Black Friday period, may have some pointing to a
degree of noise in the reading.
- As a result AUD/USD has breached the cloud top at $0.7206, pressured by a soft
retail sales print, bringing the 21-DMA at $0.7183 into view, as the rate trade
30 pips or so lower on the day at $0.7195.
- A fall below the 21-DMA would open up the 55-DMA/100-DMA/50-DMA at
$0.7175/73/68.
