  • Companies surveyed spoke of very weak domestic demand.
  • A survey of non-manufacturing companies ticked up from 69 to 70 as to their general outlook for the economy.
  • Readings below 100 represent a pessimistic outlook. 
  • The survey results have not been greater than 100 in the last 5 years.
  • Tomorrow the BOK meetings to decide on monetary policy.  Current consensus is for no change following on from October's cut.  
  • Today's survey adds to yesterday's very weak consumer confidence survey.
