- A survey of manufacturers in Korea falls to 66 from 71 for the month ahead as to their general outlook for the economy. .
- Companies surveyed spoke of very weak domestic demand.
- A survey of non-manufacturing companies ticked up from 69 to 70 as to their general outlook for the economy.
- Readings below 100 represent a pessimistic outlook.
- The survey results have not been greater than 100 in the last 5 years.
- Tomorrow the BOK meetings to decide on monetary policy. Current consensus is for no change following on from October's cut.
- Today's survey adds to yesterday's very weak consumer confidence survey.
