  • The EU has so far failed to agree to a 10th package of sanctions, but there is the prospect that a last-ditch Coreper II meeting of EU permanent representatives could see a deal struck. EU Observer reports "The EU's 10th package of sanctions is to be finally agreed in Brussels on Friday morning (24 February), following a last-minute dispute between Germany and Italy versus Poland on Russian rubber-import quotas."
  • Earlier this morning, the UK announced sanctions on 'every item used on the battlefield', including 'aircraft parts, radio equipment, and electronic components that can be used by the Russian military industrial complex, including in the production of UAVs [drones].'
