Surveyed Analysts Raise 2022 Year-End CPI Estimate, See 50BP Hike In Sep

Yesterday Citi published the results of its biweekly analysts’ survey:

  • Next rate move to be a 50 bps increase in Sept. 2022
  • Analysts Raise 2022 CPI Est. to 8.00% Vs. 7.74%. 2023 year-end inflation raised to 4.68% from 4.51%
  • 2022 GDP held at 1.80%, 2023 GDP held at 1.50%
  • 2022 year-end rate held at 9.50%, 2023 year-end rate raised to 9.25% from 9.13%
  • 2022 year-end exchange rate raised to 20.90 from 20.80 MXN/USD (BBG)
    • For reference, results are the median forecast of about 30 analysts.
