US TSYS
US TSYS: T-Notes have stuck to a tight range in early trade, operating just
above Friday's settlement at writing.
- Brief pressure was observed at the re-open after Special Counsel Mueller's
report failed to find any evidence of Trump campaign collusion with Russia re:
the 2016 election, although the report also failed to exonerate Trump from
obstruction of justice.
- Friday's bid in bonds was initially triggered by softer than expected PMI data
out of Europe, with a late sell off in equities adding further support. Focus
also fell on 3-Month/10-Year yield inversion, which came into play for the first
time since the GFC on Friday.
- Addresses from Fed's Evans dominate the Asia-Pacific docket, with Harker also
due to speak on Monday.
- T-Notes last 124.01+, U.S. 10-Year cash Tsy yields closed at 2.439%.
