BOND SUMMARY
BOND SUMMARY: T-Notes last +0-02+ at 131-14, with the long end notably
outperforming in cash trade. Comments from U.S. trade advisor Navarro suggesting
that it is unlikely that there will be a quick breakthrough in Sino-U.S. trade
talks supported the complex. This has allowed bulls to regroup after some late
steepening pressure came to the fore on Wednesday as U.S. Tsy Sec Mnuchin noted
that the issuance of ultra-long bonds is under "very serious consideration."
Eurodollar futures unch-0.5 ticks higher through the reds.
- Aussie Bonds stuck to a tight range, with the highlight being a brief blip
higher on the back of a soft domestic Q2 CapEx print. YM unch. & XM +1.0, with
YM/XM at 21.0. Bills sit unch.-1.0 tick higher through the reds.
- JGB futures have edged higher, and last sit 11 ticks better off, well within
the recent range. Yields a touch lower across the curve, with the long end
leading. BoJ's Suzuki added little to the policy discussion in his latest
address.
