US TSYS
US TSYS: T-Notes stuck to a 0-01+ range overnight, and last trade -0-00+ at
139-15. Cash Tsys are little changed across the curve. This came against a
backdrop of limited headline flow, as participants zero in on fiscal
developments in DC.
- Messrs Trump, Mnuchin & Pelosi pointed to the potential/hope surrounding
getting a fiscal support deal done, even after Senate majority leader McConnell
played down the prospect of a deal being struck by month end (when the current
unemployment relief measures in the CARES Act expire). Also worth noting a BBG
story pointing to the GOP considering a 70% wage replacement scheme for the
unemployed as part of its latest support bill.
- Elsewhere, there was little to really note in the first of President Trump's
revamped COVID-19 daily briefings, as he suggested that COVID matters are likely
to get worse before they get better. He also urged Americans to wear masks when
they cannot practice social distancing.
- 20-Year supply headlines locally on Wednesday.
