US TSYS
US TSYS: T-Notes trade around the mid-point of their Asia-Pacific range at
writing.
- The re-open saw a brief, modest knee-jerk lower on the Mueller probe headlines
before better buying came to the fore on the resumption of broader risk-off
flows as markets re-focused on worries over the global economy/trade and U.S.
curve inversion.
- The market looked through comments from 2019 Fed Voter Evans, who noted that
the U.S. economy continues to be in a strong position, stressing that Fed policy
is neither accommodative or restrictive at present. Evans also stated that now
is a good time for the Fed to pause and be cautious. Evans later noted that he
doesn't expect the Fed to hike rates until H220, and that the Fed would "take
action" if inflation undershoots.
- Eurodollar futures trade unchanged to 2.5 ticks higher through the reds.
- T-Notes last 124.04+, U.S. 10-Year cash Tsy yields last 2.435%.
