Talks between Labour and the...........>

GILT SUMMARY
GILT SUMMARY: Talks between Labour and the government on a Brexit solution have
been ended with no resolution found. The next steps appear to be another series
of indicative votes held next week before May's deal is voted on again in the
first week of June. This is likely to be one of May's last acts as she looks set
to step down as leader irrespective of whether the vote passes or not.
- Betting markets are focusing on Boris Johnson, Jeremy Hunt and Dominic Raab as
the standout candidates to become the next PM. Hunt supports May's deal while
Johnson and Raab both favour a harder Brexit.
- The Evening Standard has reported that May and Corbyn discussed a plan to
leave the EU on July 31 in order to avoid a second referendum before Corbyn
pulled the plug on further talks.
- Gilt futures are up 0.33 today at 128.94 with 10y yields down -3.5bp at 1.038%
and 2y yields down -2.7bp at 0.683%.
