discourage those Fed officials who remain on the fence over a December hike in
light of inflation misses. However, we believe that the balance of the committee
will continue to look through pockets of weakness (concentrated largely in core
goods) as inflation fundamentals remain positive while rising import prices
build conviction that core goods prices will recover. As such, a December hike
remains live in our view."
