DOLLAR-CANADA: TECHS: Brief CAD Strength, But Uptrend Continues
CAD firmed across the board after the release of strong Canadian jobs data which
registered its largest gain on record. USDCAD gapped 100 pips lower through 1.33
opening near-term support from the 21-dma at 1.3257. However, it has bounced
back to above last week's close, keeping the bull trend intact for USDCAD. A
break of 1.34 brings the bull flag back in play targeting a move toward 1.3500.
Bears need a close below the Nov 16 low at 1.3127 to change the short-term
outlook, before challenging the 100-dma & Nov 2 low at 1.3085/49.
