The pair jolted sharply higher following the Bank of Canada decision and cleared
resistance at 1.3109. The move higher has reinforced the potential significance
of Tuesday's candle pattern, a bullish engulfing reversal. This has highlighted
a potential base at the Tuesday low of 1.3042 and is significant given the
reversal has occurred ahead of the primary support at 1.3016, Jul 19 low. The
pair is through resistance at 1.3146, the break opens 1.3212 following any close
above the 100-dma.
